Alice Hyoung is a Korean-American classical pianist who centers her work on connection, expression, and authenticity. She made her orchestral debut with the Doctor’s Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. Her honors include winning the Los Angeles Philharmonic Young Artists Competition, along with top awards and scholarships from competitions such as the International Liszt Competition and the Gail Newby Concerto Competition.
Alice is especially drawn to concerto repertoire and collaborative performance, with extensive experience working alongside orchestral musicians and chamber partners. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University, a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California.
Beyond performance, Alice is deeply interested in the inner life of artists, how emotion, psychology, and life stories shape musical expression. She is particularly passionate about conversations around mental health, identity, and emotional resilience in creative fields.
Outside of music, Alice enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, spending time in nature, traveling, and caring for her bird, Ferris.
